Role Description:

  • This role provides technical support services to install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software by applying a high level of computer expertise. Provide support by conducting investigation, diagnosis and resolution of incidents and technical problems.

    Provide excellent customer service including coordinating repairs and preparing quotes. Provides support, education and guidance in the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure and the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems and issues. May work in a call centre.

  • IT Support Officers can work in a variety of office-based settings ranging from small to very large workplaces across a range of industries.

Personal attributes:

  • IT Support Officers need to be able to work in a team as well as working on their own. This role will require excellent customer service skills including patience and empathy for end users. IT support officers and also require effective organisational and communication skills.

Salary:

  • Middle of the range starting salary in Australia: $44,900
