Role Description:

  • This role provides administration services in a variety of health settings. This can include maintaining patient records, ensuring adequate levels of supplies and providing customer service. Health Administration Officers need to understand relevant medical terminology and use discretion and judgment when interacting with other health professionals and patients.

Where you might work:

  • Health Administration Officers can work in hospitals, aged care and other health and community settings as well as GP, specialist, physiotherapy and allied health practices.

Personal attributes:

  • This role will require attention to detail, good reading and writing skills, and an ability to multi-task. As you will be working with patients and other staff, communication and customer service skills are also very important.

Salary:

  • Between $52,630 and $85,575 per year, depending on the organisation employed and level of experience based on 89 salaries in Australia.
